The TV anime adaptation of Hime Kishi-sama no Himo has released its official key visual and first main promotional video, alongside announcements of its theme songs and additional cast members.

Key Visual & Main PV

The key visual was drawn by character designer Hisao Ishii and depicts the laid-back protagonist Matthew, who carries a secret unknown to anyone, alongside the noble and proud princess knight Alwin, as the two press forward together.

The main PV is set in the labyrinthine city known as Grey Neighbor, and showcases the stark contrast between Matthew’s easygoing demeanor and Alwin’s serious, dignified personality, while also hinting at the web of relationships surrounding Matthew.

Theme Songs

• Opening Theme: “TRUE-TABOO” by MYTH & ROID — already featured in the first main PV
• Ending Theme: “偽花 (Nise Hana)” by sajou no hana

New Cast Members

Three additional voice actors have been revealed:

• Vanessa, an appraiser affiliated with the Adventurers’ Guild — voiced by Rie Takahashi
• Dez, a dedicated adventurer belonging to the guild — voiced by Tetsu Inada
• April, the granddaughter of the Guild Master — voiced by Rika Nagae

Comments from the New Cast

Rie Takahashi (Vanessa): “Congratulations on the anime adaptation of Hime Kishi-sama no Himo! I’ll do my best as Vanessa the appraiser. She’s the type where every man she dates turns out to be terrible — the harder she tries, the less likely she seems to find happiness… I’ll pour everything I have into this performance!”

Tetsu Inada (Dez): “This is Tetsu Inada, playing Dez. In my personal opinion, pretty much every character in this show has some kind of problem. But Dez here is one of the rare genuinely decent, normal people.”

Rika Nagae (April): “I’m so happy to be playing April in Hime Kishi-sama no Himo! She’s bright, honest, kind, and just a little bit cheeky — I’ll do my best to bring all of her charm to life. Please also keep an eye on how April fits into this dark and tense world!”
