The official website for the television anime adaptation of Makoto Morishita‘s manga Sudachi no Maōjō (The Fledgling Demon Lord’s Starter Shop) has unveiled its second teaser promotional video alongside a new key visual, an additional cast member, and a confirmed premiere window of January 2027 on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11, and other channels.
New Key Visual and Cast
The newly released character visual brings together three characters. Returning cast members include Reiji Kawashima as Murabito (Villager), shown in the center, and Rumi Ōkubo as Mao, on the left. Joining them is a newly announced character: Ash, the hero who once defeated the demon lord and saved the world, voiced by Yōhei Azakami, appearing on the right.
Story Synopsis
With the demon lord vanquished, the world has finally found peace — but that peace has left young Villager of Beginnerville in a tough spot. With no demon lord to fight, adventurers no longer need potions or items, and his shop, The Nest, sits empty. Just as Villager fears he may have to shut it down for good, a mysterious girl suddenly appears and changes everything.
