Voice actors Urawa Kino and Okamoto Nobuhiko, currently starring in the TV anime Tougen Anki ~Nikko/Kegon Falls Arc~, will appear as guests on VS. Chotokkyu, the Nippon Television variety show hosted by dance-and-vocal group Chotokkyu. The episode airs on Monday, October 12 from 24:59 to 25:29 (JST), with a Hulu Special Version — including footage not broadcast on TV — available from Sunday, October 11.
VS. Chotokkyu marks Chotokkyu’s first regular programme on NTV. The group, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, recently sold out a two-night Tokyo Dome concert run scheduled for November.
Urawa Kino voices Ichinose Shiki and Okamoto Nobuhiko voices Nekozaki Hakure in the currently airing anime. On the show, the two voice actors join Chotokkyu members Kai, Yuki, Takashi, and Masahiro to develop and play a series of outrageous games.
Game 1: “Moshimo Situation Dendai-Serifu Game” (Situation Telephone Game)
Split into Team Urawa and Team Okamoto, players must perform lines from Tougen Anki under bizarre hypothetical scenarios — such as delivering Shiki’s line “The real demons are you lot!” while “plummeting on a roller coaster” — using only their voice. Teammates must then guess the scenario and pass it along telephone-game style. The challenge: how well can an anime battle cry fit a completely absurd situation?
Game 2: “Quiz! Yomiyomi Meikyoku Don!” (Disguised Lyrics Relay)
Teams take turns reading the lyrics of famous Japanese songs aloud in relay fashion, trying to disguise the melody through flat recitation or altered intonation so the opposing team cannot identify the song. Songs in the mix include hits by Arashi and Nishino Kana. Teams earn points for successfully reading through a song without the other side guessing it. Which team will come out on top?
