Story and Highlights
This is the third entry in the U-17 WORLD CUP anime series, following Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL (2024). After defeating Germany in the semi-finals, the Japanese national team advances to the final against Spain. However, key players Heidoin and Oni are sidelined with injuries sustained during the Germany match.
With the final just two days away, coach Mifune announces an internal “Finals Selection” tournament, pitting teammates against each other across five blocks — S1, S2, S3, D1, and D2 — to determine who earns a spot on the court for the championship match.
Episode 2, “決定戦開幕！” (The Selection Begins!), features Tokugawa vs. Sanada in S1, Fuji vs. Kirihara in S2, and the pair of Marui & Kite taking on Tanegashima & Shiraishi in D2. Characters from the Spanish national team — Japan’s opponents in the final — have also been revealed, adding another layer of anticipation.
