A new key visual has been unveiled for Kaze wo Tsugu Mono -Hajimari-, the theatrical advance version of the original TV anime Kaze wo Tsugu Mono. The visual is also being used for a line of merchandise available at participating cinemas, as announced on the theatrical version’s official website.
New Visual and Theatrical Content
The newly illustrated visual depicts protagonist Tachikawa Jinsuke alongside Okita Soji and Koganei Hyogo, the three bathed in a gentle breeze beneath a clear blue sky.
Kaze wo Tsugu Mono -Hajimari- will screen for a two-week limited run beginning November 13, 2026, ahead of the TV broadcast. The theatrical cut covers Jinsuke’s first encounters with the members of the Mibu Roshigumi, as well as episodes involving the group’s leading chief, Serizawa Kamo.
About the Series
Kaze wo Tsugu Mono portrays the fleeting youth of the Shinsengumi during Japan’s turbulent Bakumatsu era, using an innovative combination of Live2D and traditional hand-drawn animation.
The TV anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2027 on the CBC/TBS network across 28 stations nationwide in Japan, airing in the Agaru Anime programming block.
