The staff behind the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby franchise has issued a warning that the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby – 7th Event World Tour: The Stage concerts scheduled in the United States may have to be canceled due to ongoing visa difficulties for the performing cast.
According to the announcement, the team has been working alongside lawyers and promoters in the U.S. for more than six months in an effort to secure the necessary visas. Staff stated they are “coordinating with all parties concerned to explore every possible option to get the visas approved and make the concerts happen.” A final decision on whether the shows can proceed will be announced by Monday, October 19 at 10:00 p.m. PDT (Tuesday, October 20 at 1:00 a.m. EDT). The team apologized for the worry and inconvenience caused, and for the lateness of the announcement relative to the event dates.

About Uma Musume: Pretty Derby
The Uma Musume: Pretty Derby mobile game launched on iOS and Android in February 2021, followed by a PC release via DMM Games in March 2021. Originally slated for a winter 2018 release, it was delayed to improve quality. An English-language version for iOS and Android launched on June 26, 2025, and the game went on to win Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2025.
The game centers on “Uma Musume” — horse girls gifted with extraordinary running ability who aspire to become top idols while competing in the national sports-entertainment show “Twinkle Series.” Players serve as both teacher and trainer at the Nihon Uma Musume Training Center Gakuen, guiding the girls toward their debut.
