The new manga series 腹黒魔術補佐官とお見合い結婚します — which follows an arranged-marriage meeting between a scheming elite mage and a hard-working commoner mage — began its early-access distribution on Piccoma on October 20.
Story
The series is written by Natomi with art by Shirao Kojo, marking a new serialization for the artist.
The story centers on Naria, a commoner mage whose dedication and track record have earned her a position at the National Institute of Magical Research. She is approached with an arranged-marriage proposal involving Bart, a first-class mage who serves as deputy director at the same institute.
Naria reasons that leveraging Bart’s considerable influence could help unblock her stalled research projects and performance reviews — obstacles she has faced due to her non-noble origins. Bart appears to be an ideal match on paper, yet his perpetually suspicious smile makes it impossible to know what he is truly thinking.
The series promises a workplace romance set in a magical bureaucracy, pairing a cunning, black-hearted assistant official against an earnest and hardworking mage.
