Japanese rock band Wasureranneyo (忘れらんねえよ) has made a return appearance on the THE FIRST TAKE YouTube channel, this time performing “Nanmo Nee (なんもねえ)” — the opening theme of TV anime Yani Neko (ヤニねこ) — with a full band arrangement including support musicians. The video premiered on the channel on October 21 at 10:00 PM JST.
“Nanmo Nee” Surpasses 10 Million YouTube Views in Under Two Months
“Nanmo Nee” was written by Shibata Takahiro (柴田隆浩), the band’s frontman and a self-professed fan of the original manga. The song was released digitally in July 2026, and its music video crossed 10 million views on YouTube in less than two months after upload.
During their previous appearance on THE FIRST TAKE, Wasureranneyo performed “Ai Love Iu (アイラブ言う)”, a 2022 track that gained renewed attention after being covered by the protagonist in the anime Futsuu no Keionbu (ふつうの軽音部), with a collaborative PV that generated significant buzz among fans.
About Yani Neko
The TV anime Yani Neko is based on the manga by Nyannyan Factory (にゃんにゃんファクトリー), published by Kodansha with its first volume released on August 4, 2023. The anime is set to air during the Summer 2026 season.
