About Meitantei Precure!
Meitantei Precure! is the 23rd entry in the long-running Precure franchise. The story follows Akechi Anna, a 14-year-old from the year 2027, who encounters a fairy named Pochitan on her birthday and is whisked back in time to 1999 in Makoto Mirai City. There she meets Kobayashi Mikuru, a girl her age who dreams of becoming a great detective, and the self-proclaimed genius fairy Jet-senpai. Together they establish the Kyuatto Detective Agency and transform into the Meitantei Precure to recover precious belongings stolen by the phantom thief gang Phantom.
Episode 39 Synopsis: “Ojamajo na Halloween♪”
Anna and her friends are busy preparing for Halloween — sewing costumes and crafting props. Thanks to Anna’s initiative, the local shopping district holds its very first Halloween event, and the streets fill with costumed revelers happily collecting sweets.
While helping run the event, the girls encounter a young child named Hinano who has been separated from her mother. As they escort her through the shopping district, the villain Ageseine appears dressed as a witch and snatches Hinano’s treasured broom — one that holds a precious Makoto Jewel within it.
The girls give chase, but the witch’s trail goes cold mid-pursuit. Deducing that Ageseine must have changed her costume to slip away undetected — and knowing their own faces have already been seen — Anna and friends decide they too must change into different outfits to avoid being recognized.
The released preview images show the cast in a variety of Halloween costumes, including outfits inspired by the characters of Ojamajo Doremi, raising excitement for this special crossover episode.
