Gundam’s official apparel brand STRICT-G has unveiled two new military-inspired jackets for fans of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (機動戦士ガンダムZZ). The STRICT-G.ARMS Tankers Jacket comes in two variants themed around the series’ rival factions: A.E.U.G. and Neo Zeon.
About Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ is a TV anime that aired from March 1986 to January 1987, serving as the direct sequel to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. The story follows protagonist Judau Ashta and the ZZ Gundam as they battle Haman Kahn‘s Neo Zeon forces during the First Neo Zeon War, set in the aftermath of the Gryps Conflict.
Jacket Details
The Tankers Jacket is a garment historically worn by tank crews during winter operations, with records also indicating its use during flight missions — lending the design an authentic military character. The outer shell is crafted from a 100% cotton fabric known as “Heavy Weapon,” prized for its firm texture, rich sheen, and the natural patina it develops with wear over time. The lining uses a wool-blend polyester blanket material for excellent insulation.
