NHK Etele’s 「ビストロボイス」(Bistro Voice), hosted by Yamadera Koichi, will welcome two special guests for its broadcast on Saturday, November 7, 2026 (21:00–21:30): veteran voice actors-turned-narrators Ginga Banjo and Tachiki Fumihiko.

Bistro Voice brings together leading vocal specialists to demonstrate their craft and explore the essence of the voice. This episode centers on the theme of “The Essence of the Voice Actor and Narrator.”

Ginga Banjo and a Lesson from Legend Kobayashi Kiyoshi

Ginga Banjo is widely known for voicing Gihren Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam and for his long-running narration on the variety program Kaiun! Nandemo Kantei-dan. In this episode, he reveals an unforgettable piece of advice he received from Kobayashi Kiyoshi — the legendary voice actor who played Daisuke Jigen in Lupin the Third for over 50 years — as well as a personal motto he has lived by throughout his career.

Tachiki Fumihiko and a Shocking Word from Director Anno Hideaki

Tachiki Fumihiko is best known to anime fans as the voice of Ikari Gendo in the Evangelion series and as the narrator of the long-running travel show Sekai no Hate made Itte Q!. He will share a startling remark made to him by director Anno Hideaki that left a lasting impression.

The Three Men’s Hidden Connections

The episode also uncovers surprising ties between the three: Ginga Banjo was apparently the inspiration behind Tachiki’s career path, and Ginga was also present on the very first regular job that Yamadera Koichi ever worked. The trio will also tackle lighter topics, including just how many times Tachiki has had to say the phrase 「果たして!?」 (“And so…!?”) in his narration work, the unique perspective that voice actors bring to narration, and how each of them plans to care for their voice going forward.
