The TV anime Aikatsu! (アイカツ！) is returning to Japanese airwaves in an encore broadcast, kicking off on October 9 and airing every Friday at 6:25 PM on TV Tokyo affiliate stations.
The Aikatsu! series originally launched in 2012. This special encore run will revisit the first season — the very origin of the story — accompanied by two brand-new theme songs created exclusively for the occasion: opening theme 「AIKATSU！× AIKATSU！」 and ending theme 「アイカツ！INVITATION」.
On October 8, the day before the encore broadcast begins, the arcade card game Data Carddass “Aikatsu! Encore” will begin a phased rollout at toy shops, department stores, mass-market retailers, and amusement facilities across Japan.
Both new theme songs are also planned to be included in Data Carddass “Aikatsu! Encore,” making the card game a must-have for fans looking to collect every piece of the encore campaign.
