The anime adaptation of 「『きみを愛する気はない』と言った次期公爵様がなぜか溺愛してきます」 — known among fans as “Kimi Ai” — has released seven new scene cuts spotlighting the male lead, Julius, offering a glimpse at the striking contrast that defines his character.
Two Sides of Julius
The newly released images highlight Julius’s “gap moe” — the captivating contrast between his two faces. Some cuts show him as the consummate gentleman: smiling softly as he escorts the heroine Elsa, and tenderly pressing his lips to the back of her hand. Others, however, capture a colder side, with Julius fixing Elsa with an icy, detached stare that hints at the emotionally guarded nature lurking beneath his polished exterior.
Story
Based on the original novel by Misawa Kei and the manga adaptation by Mizuno Natsu, the series follows Elsa Yukalainen, a cheerful and resilient young woman from a fallen noble family, and Julius Roias, a supremely talented but emotionally awkward heir to a dukedom. The two meet and, finding their interests perfectly aligned, enter into a contract marriage on the very day they first encounter each other. The story unfolds as a heartwarming, “muzukyun” (bittersweet-cute) romantic comedy.
