Japanese satellite channel BS12 Tuelbi has announced the broadcast of two Detective Conan films this July, both featuring fan-favourite thieves Lupin III and Kaito Kid.
Lupin III vs. Detective Conan THE MOVIE — Uncut Broadcast
On July 12 at 7:30 PM, BS12 Tuelbi will air an uncut version of Lupin III vs. Detective Conan THE MOVIE, which originally opened in Japanese cinemas in 2013.
The story begins when a jewellery store in Tokyo is robbed, and Conan deduces that the culprit disguised as Kaito Kid is actually Lupin III. Lupin’s true target turns out to be a legendary treasure known as the “Cherry Sapphire.” Inspector Zenigata makes an emergency trip to Japan and joins the Metropolitan Police in pursuit of Lupin. Meanwhile, Conan spots Lupin’s partner Jigen lurking in the background of a news report about the visit of world-famous idol Emilio, deepening the mystery further.
Detective Conan vs. Kaito Kid — Special Compilation Film
On July 26 at 7:00 PM, the same channel will broadcast Detective Conan vs. Kaito Kid, a special compilation film that was released theatrically in 2024. Based on the TV anime series created by Gosho Aoyama, the film re-edits key episodes depicting the origin of Kaito Kid and his first confrontations with both Conan and Shinichi Kudo — including the episodes “Conan vs. Kaito Kid” and “Gathering of Detectives! Kudo Shinichi vs. Kaito Kid.”
