To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sakura Momoko’s beloved manga Chibi Maruko-chan, Shinagawa Prince Hotel is hosting a special collaboration event titled 「ちびまる子ちゃん飯店」(Chibi Maruko-chan Fan Tian), bringing together a themed concept room, Chinese restaurant menus, and a stamp-rally activity all under one roof.
About Chibi Maruko-chan
Chibi Maruko-chan follows the warm, everyday life of Maruko, a third-grade girl from the Sakura family living in Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The manga began serialization in Ribon (Shueisha) in 1986, and 2026 marks its 40th anniversary. Cumulative print runs have surpassed 35 million copies (including digital editions), with editions published across Asia and in France. The TV anime adaptation launched in 1990 and continues to air every Sunday at 6:00 p.m. on Fuji TV.
Chinoiserie Concept Room
The concept room is a Twin Room in the Annex Tower, decorated with wallpaper, a foot throw, cushions, and a tablecloth all featuring Maruko and her friends set against an elegant Chinoiserie aesthetic. The room also comes stocked with all 18 volumes of the Chibi Maruko-chan manga and a Bluetooth speaker.
Guests will receive three exclusive novelty items: a drawstring pouch, a compact mirror, and a hand towel, each designed with Maruko and friends dressed in Chinoiserie-style costumes.

Special Restaurant Menus
Chibi Maruko-chan Fan Tian Afternoon Tea
The hotel’s Chinese restaurant Shinagawa Daihanten will offer a special Afternoon Tea featuring authentic Chinese dishes such as xiaolongbao and jade dumplings, alongside autumn-inspired sweets including Japanese chestnut tart and persimmon compote. The set comes with an original “Chinoiserie Blue” placemat featuring Maruko, Tama-chan, and Hanawa-kun. Priced from ¥6,000.
Chibi Maruko-chan Fan Tian Lunch Set
A ¥5,000 lunch set centered on a classic Chinese-style ramen topped with char siu branded with Maruko’s face, served alongside almond tofu, Taiwanese castella cake, and sesame balls. The ramen is also available à la carte for ¥2,000.
Flower-Shaped Bread at Boulangerie Shinagawa
Boulangerie Shinagawa will sell flower-shaped bread in two colors at ¥600 each.
- Blue: Filled with custard cream and caramel cream, inspired by the pudding that Maruko and Tama-chan love.
- Pink: Generously filled with custard cream.
Available for takeaway only, from October 1 to November 23.
Stamp Rally
Three stamp stations are set up across the hotel — at Annex Tower Front, Shinagawa Daihanten, and Boulangerie Shinagawa. The rally runs across three periods, offering a total of nine limited-edition stamp designs to collect.
The “Chibi Maruko-chan Fan Tian” collaboration covers everything from accommodation and dining to in-hotel activities, making it a must-visit experience for fans looking to immerse themselves in Maruko’s world with a Chinese-inspired twist.
