Crunchyroll Picks Up Psyren and The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom
Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream two upcoming anime series — Psyren and The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom — worldwide, excluding Japan and China. The platform also announced streaming rights for two French-animated series: Dreamland from Ellipse Animation and Musketeer Nanako from Bobbypills.
Psyren — A Deadly Game Triggered by a Red Phone Card
Psyren is set to premiere in October. The story follows high schooler Ageha Yoshina, who one day picks up a mysterious red phone card left in a public telephone booth. Shortly after, his childhood friend and classmate Sakurako Amamiya — who had an identical card — vanishes without a trace. Searching for her, Ageha is pulled into a web of rumors surrounding a nationwide string of disappearances allegedly orchestrated by a shadowy organization called “Psyren.” Once he makes contact with the group, a deadly game begins that will alter his fate forever.

The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom — An Immortal Sorcerer and His Level-100 Dog
The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom is adapted from the novel series published in English by J-Novel Club under the title The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure. The story centers on Asley, an eternally youthful and perpetually foolish sorcerer who has spent thousands of years in solitude, kept company only by his Level 100 canine familiar Pochi. When Pochi insists he step outside for the first time in two centuries, Asley ventures back into society with a mission: shed his embarrassing titles and restore his reputation. Along the way he must battle great evil, help save the world, and perhaps even grow up a little — all while surviving Pochi’s relentless “friendly advice.” The series is scheduled to debut in January 2027.
