Manga artist Yumiya Kyoko‘s debut tankōbon, デカ猫びっくらぶ 俺のオンナに手をだすにゃ (Deka Neko Bikkurave: Ore no Onna ni Te wo Dasu nya), went on sale September 16, 2026 from publisher Takeshobo. The obi (belly band) features a recommendation and illustration from veteran cartoonist Igarashi Mikio.
Story
The protagonist is Gonzales, a giant cat roughly twice the size of an ordinary cat. He lives with Ichigo-chan, a scatterbrained idol who is, technically, his owner — though Gonzales himself is firmly convinced she is his girlfriend.
That delusion drives the comedy: when Ichigo-chan’s manager pays a visit, Gonzales immediately suspects a rival and goes into full intimidation mode. When Ichigo-chan catches a cold, he worries so intensely that he visibly wastes away. The series is billed as a “nichijō-zusshari comedy” — a slice-of-life comedy with real emotional weight.
