The TV anime Demons’ Crest is set to launch as a worldwide exclusive on Amazon Prime Video on 6 November 2026. The series will be available as part of the standard Amazon Prime membership benefit, and first-time subscribers can take advantage of a 30-day free trial.
Where Can You Watch Demons’ Crest?
Amazon Prime Video is the only platform carrying Demons’ Crest. No other streaming services — including Netflix, U-NEXT, DMM TV, dAnime Store, Hulu, Disney+, ABEMA, or the free broadcast platform TVer — have the title available in any form. A Prime membership is therefore required to watch the series.
Streaming Start Date
The series begins streaming on Friday, 6 November 2026, as announced on the official website and by Warner Bros. Japan. Episode count and the weekly release schedule beyond the premiere have not yet been revealed.
Pre-Premiere Screening Event
Before the online debut, a special advance screening of Episodes 1 and 2 will be held on Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 15:00 at United Cinema AquaCity Odaiba. Voice actors Haruka Shiraishi (Yuma Ashihara) and Konomi Inagaki (Sawa Ashihara) will appear on stage. Tickets are priced at ¥3,500. The event will not be livestreamed, so those unable to attend in person should wait for the Amazon Prime Video premiere on 6 November.
Story & Highlights
Demons’ Crest is based on the light novel of the same name by Reki Kawahara (Sword Art Online, Accel World), published under the Dengeki Bunko imprint (KADOKAWA), with Volume 1 released in November 2022. Animation is produced by Production I.G, the studio behind the Ghost in the Shell franchise.
The story follows Yuma Ashihara, a boy who joins a test play session of Actual Magic — the world’s first full-dive, all-senses-immersive VRMMO-RPG — alongside his classmates. When he comes to, he finds himself stranded alone in a darkened building. In a world where the game and reality have fused into one, a new Death Game begins. The series tagline is: “This is a game — and at the same time, it is reality.”
