To mark the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan (名探偵コナン) TV anime, organizers have announced “TV Anime 30th Anniversary Detective Conan Geijutsu Hanabi 2026” — a large-scale music-and-fireworks spectacular scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Yamashita Pier (山下ふ頭) in Yokohama.
Based on Gosho Aoyama’s long-running manga serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday, the Detective Conan TV anime first aired in January 1996. The franchise has continued to thrive, with its theatrical film series — including the latest entry, Detective Conan: The Angel of the Highway (名探偵コナン ハイウェイの堕天使) — breaking box-office records year after year.
Music Meets Fireworks
The event is conceived as a non-stop “music × fireworks” entertainment show, weaving together the beloved opening themes, ending themes, and film scores that have defined the series across three decades. The aim is to stir deeply personal memories of Conan in every audience member through an emotional, one-of-a-kind experience.
Characters from both the TV anime and the theatrical films are set to make voice appearances during the show. With Yokohama’s night skyline — the very backdrop of The Angel of the Highway — as the stage, the combination promises to be especially resonant for fans of the latest film.
Crafted by Japan’s Premier Fireworks Team
The show is produced in collaboration with the team behind the acclaimed Geijutsu Hanabi (芸術花火) series, widely regarded as Japan’s highest-caliber fireworks entertainment. Fireworks choreographer Ryo Oya (大矢亮) leads the creative direction, programming each burst to 1/30th-of-a-second precision — accounting for hang time and afterglow — to deliver a cinematic, emotion-driven performance that expresses the full range of the Conan universe.
