Netflix Japan’s official X (Twitter) account has sent fans into a frenzy by releasing a special compilation video gathering “Arere~?” moments from across all 30 years of the Detective Conan (名探偵コナン) anime — and the clip has quickly gone viral.

Detective Conan is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994. The story follows high-school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is shrunk into a child’s body by a mysterious black-clad organization and must solve cases under the alias Conan Edogawa. Volume 108 of the manga was released in April 2026. The TV anime, which began airing in 1996, has now surpassed 1,100 episodes. The franchise’s 29th theatrical film, Detective Conan: The Highway Star (ハイウェイの堕天使), opened on April 10, 2026, and is tracking ahead of its predecessor, Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback (隻眼の残像), at the box office.
The “Arere~?” Supercut
Netflix Japan edited together clips from across the anime’s three-decade run and posted the video under the caption “We’ve collected 30 years’ worth of ‘Arere~?'” The phrase “Arere~?” is Conan’s signature exclamation whenever he spots a key clue that helps him crack a case.
What made the compilation especially exciting for fans is that it doesn’t stop at Conan Edogawa — it also includes rare “Arere~?” moments from Haibara Ai and Mouri Kogoro, characters who rarely get to deliver the iconic line.
