ภาพหลักアニメ Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star ภาค 2

The official website for the short anime Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star, Japanese title Hokuto no Ken: Ken’o-gun Zako-tachi no Banka, based on the spinoff manga by Hiroshi Kurao, has revealed a promotional video, key visual, theme songs, and the official debut date for Part 2. The new part will premiere on July 6.

Opening and Ending Songs for Part 2

The band The Candellz performs the new opening theme, “I’m a Loser”. The ending theme is performed by the three-member unit Itsuka Saisei, which previously handled the opening theme for the first part. This time, the group returns with “Shiroi Cho ga Tondara”, or “When a White Butterfly Flies,” featuring Dr. Washington on vocals and a special guitar appearance by Tsuyoshi Ujiki.

Broadcast and Streaming Schedule

Part 2 will begin airing on July 6 on AT-X at 8:00 p.m. Japan time and on Tokyo MX at 9:54 p.m. the same night. In Japan, it will also stream early on Animate Times from 9:00 p.m. on the same day. From July 13, it will also be available on Hulu Japan, d Anime Store, ABEMA, and other streaming platforms.

Voice Cast and Staff

The main cast for this part includes:

  • Hiro Shimono as Nobu
  • Shinnosuke Ogami as Saku
  • Masaaki Yano as Buzz
  • Nobuya Takahashi as the narrator

On the creative staff side, Takuma Hase and Yuma Saito serve as technical directors and editors at studio Do-Raku. Daisuke Miura is animation director, Mirai Iwai is art director and color designer, Sayoko Ito is compositing director of photography, and Seiji Miura handles the music.

Background of the Series

The first part of the anime debuted on January 5 on AT-X and Tokyo MX. The original manga began serialization on Coamix’s Manga Hot app in November 2017 and ended in February 2020. It has three compiled volumes, with the final volume released in March 2020.

Elsewhere in the Fist of the North Star universe, the new anime Hokuto no Ken -Fist of the North Star-, based on the original manga by Tetsuo Hara, debuted in Japan on April 10 and is currently available worldwide through Amazon Prime Video.
