Kadokawa and Garena Online Private Limited have released a new promotional trailer for Free Fire Daybreak, the upcoming television anime based on Singaporean game developer and publisher Garena’s hit battle royale title Garena Free Fire. The trailer previews the anime’s central story and introduces three key characters: Kelly, Hayato, and Moco.
Story
Set in the near-future city of New Dawn, dominated by the powerful Horizon Corporation, the story follows Kelly, a 16-year-old girl who becomes entangled in a secret experiment known as “Project Bloom.” Through it, she awakens a remarkable power called “Limit Break” — an extraordinary ability capable of unlocking anything that has been sealed away.
As fragments of her forgotten past begin to resurface, Kelly joins a group of newfound allies to expose the conspiracy behind Horizon Corporation and stand against the forces threatening the future of New Dawn.

The anime is a co-production between Kadokawa and Garena, with Kadokawa’s subsidiary Kadokawa Qingyu serving as production manager. It is planned for broadcast and streaming worldwide.

Garena Free Fire is a third-person battle royale shooter in which players are dropped onto a large island with dozens of others, scavenging for weapons and supplies in a race to be the last one standing. Garena launched the game in December 2017, and it quickly became a global phenomenon.
