The production team behind the television anime adaptation of Fukufuku‘s light novel series The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune (Fuun kara no Saikyō Otoko) unveiled two new characters and an official promotional video on Monday.
New Characters Revealed
- Siegbert — A boy who, after a lifetime of misfortune, is reincarnated in another world as a “lucky one” blessed with extraordinary talent.
- Gert — Siegbert’s older brother, gifted with exceptional natural ability.
The team also released a new illustration featuring the Abel Family.
Cast and Theme Song
Shōya Chiba leads the voice cast and also performs the anime’s image song “Luck Out,” which is featured in the promotional video. Chiba penned the lyrics himself.

Synopsis
After a life defined by misfortune, Siegbert is reincarnated in another world as a “lucky one” blessed with extraordinary talent. Surrounded by a warm and loving family, he spends his days in happiness — until fate begins to shift.
“I’ll grow stronger, so I’ll never lose anyone again.”
So begins an isekai fantasy about a boy who will rise to become the strongest.
About the Source Material
Fukufuku began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2020, and it remains ongoing. Starts Publishing released the first print volume in March 2022, with illustrations by Zun Nakabayashi; the fourth volume shipped in March 2025.
Nakabayashi’s manga adaptation has been running in Starts Publishing’s Comic Glast online magazine on the Novemba website since October 2021. The ninth compiled volume was released on March 27. The franchise has surpassed 1.75 million copies in circulation overall.
MangaPlaza is releasing the manga digitally in English under the title The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune.
