The official website for ghost – end of night (ghost/yoru no hate) — the new theatrical anime project from director Shingo Natsume and studio Madhouse — released the film’s first teaser trailer on Friday, simultaneously announcing its two lead voice cast members.

Synopsis
Bandai Namco Filmworks describes the film as follows: set in a near future where human labor is no longer necessary, the story follows Neekei, a young woman who refuses to accept the order of a contented society and continues to search relentlessly for what is truly ＜real＞.
Director’s Vision
ghost – end of night marks Shingo Natsume‘s first time directing an original anime film. Natsume has stated that he is aiming for “a work that could be called fictional but is in tune with our current time and seeks realism.”
Manga Adaptation & Release Date
A manga adaptation drawn by artist himiko launched in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine on August 4.
ghost – end of night is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on February 11, 2027.
