Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the fourth promotional video for the TV anime The Ghost in the Shell (攻殻機動隊 THE GHOST IN THE SHELL) from studio Science SARU. The video reveals and previews the series’ ending theme, “Blue”, performed by MILLENNIUM PARADE feat. Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar.
Special Screening at Anime Expo 2025
Bandai Namco Filmworks also announced that the first two episodes of the anime will receive a special screening at Anime Expo on July 4 at JW Diamond Hall at 2:45 p.m. PDT. After the screening, a special panel will feature director Mokochan, character designer and animation director Shuhei Handa, and other producers.
Creative Staff
Mokochan, known as a storyboard artist and key animator on works such as DAN DA DAN, The Heike Story, and Tatami Time Machine Blues, is making a career-first move into the director’s chair with this project at Science SARU.
Series scripts and overall script supervision are handled by Toh Enjoe, novelist of The Empire of Corpses and writer for Space Dandy and Godzilla Singular Point. Shuhei Handa, whose credits include Little Witch Academia, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, and Spriggan (ONA), handles character design and serves as chief animation director.
For the music, Taisei Iwasaki from BELLE serves as music director and also composes alongside Ryo Konishi and Yuki Kanesaka from Dr. Stone.

The production committee for the series consists of Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, Science SARU, and Production I.G. Bandai Namco Filmworks first announced the project in May 2024.
Atsuko Tanaka, the longtime voice of Motoko Kusanagi in the franchise, passed away in August 2024 at the age of 61.
