Onkyo has announced a collaboration true wireless earphone model tied to the beloved anime series, with pre-orders opening on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 15:00 JST via the ONKYO DIRECT online store and the Akihabara brick-and-mortar shop ONKYO DIRECT ANIME STORE -Lifestyle- (音アニ2号店).
About Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first aired on April 7, 1995 as the second entry in the “Alternative Series” — Gundam stories set outside the Universal Century timeline. The series opens with a dramatic simultaneous assault by five Gundams on a massive military force, and maintains a relentless pace all the way to its finale. It holds the distinction of being the first Gundam series to broadcast in the United States, earning it a devoted fanbase worldwide. A sequel OVA, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, was later produced and also received a theatrical release featuring newly added footage.

The earphone model, designated CP-TWS01F, is a single unit with a 5-character mode-change system representing the five main pilots: Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Chang Wufei. The charging case features each character’s silhouette, while the left and right earphone housings are adorned with a wing motif.
Newly Recorded Character Voices
The headline feature is a set of newly recorded voice lines from the cast of all five characters, integrated into the earphones’ audio guidance system. Users can switch between characters with a tap. Each character delivers 17 unique voice cues — totalling 85 across all five pilots — triggered by actions such as powering on/off, Bluetooth pairing, tap sounds, and activating Noise Cancelling mode.
