A new official website launched on Saturday to announce that Miki Yoshikawa‘s manga Hiiragi-san no Kyūketsu Jijō (Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires) is receiving a television anime adaptation produced by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. The site also debuted a key visual for the project.
Story
Every family has its own “secrets.” Shota Minamoto is a junior-high student and orphan living in a children’s home, until the day he is adopted by a family residing in a grand, traditional Japanese-style estate. Welcomed warmly by everyone there, Shota begins to let his guard down — only to discover that this family harbors a “secret” the outside world must never know. Described as a cozy, bloody love comedy, the series presents a unique take on “family” from the creator of A Couple of Cuckoos.
About the Manga
Yoshikawa launched the manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in October 2021, following a one-shot published in 2019 under the same “family comedy” concept. Kodansha released the sixth compiled volume in November 2025. The manga is also available in English through Kodansha’s K MANGA service.
Yoshikawa is best known internationally for A Couple of Cuckoos (Kakkou no Iinazuke), which previously received its own anime adaptation. Further details on the Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires anime — including cast, staff, and premiere date — have yet to be announced.
