TV anime Ibittekonai Gibo to Giane (いびってこない義母と義姉), based on the manga by Otsuji serialized in comic POOL (Ichijinsha), has announced its premiere date of July 8, 2026, along with a main promotional video, additional cast members, and theme song details.
Story
The series is a heartfelt comedy following Nakamura Miharu, the illegitimate daughter of a prestigious family who moves into the main household after her mother’s death. Bracing herself for mistreatment, Miharu instead finds a warm and caring stepmother and stepsisters waiting for her.
Main PV
The main PV opens on a tense note as stepmother Teru and stepsisters Marika and Arisa of the Kozo family greet Miharu with solemn expressions — only for the mood to shift as she discovers the genuine warmth they have in store for her.
Additional Cast
Three new cast members have been revealed for characters closely connected to the Kozo household:
- Kozo Yaeko (cousin of Marika and Arisa) — voiced by Nemoto Kyori
- Nago (head maid of the Kozo family) — voiced by Uchiyama Yumi
- Mitsuya (new maid of the Kozo family) — voiced by M·A·O
Previously announced cast members include Suzuki Hina as Miharu, Kujira as Teru, Serizawa Yu as Marika, Nukui Yuka as Arisa, and Mugiho Anna as Gungnir.
Theme Songs
The opening theme is 「雨宿りの憧憬」 (Amayadori no Doukei) performed by Lia, while the ending theme is 「クレール」 (Claire) performed by AVAM.

Despite what the title might suggest, this is a story overflowing with warmth — one where your heart gently unwinds each time you witness someone’s kindness.
