To mark the 20th anniversary of the beloved idol-producer game series THE IDOLM@STER, Onkyo has announced a limited-order collaboration model of its latest True Wireless earphone, the CP-TWS01F, themed around fan-favourite idol Amahane Haruka (天海春香).
About THE IDOLM@STER
THE IDOLM@STER launched in 2005 as an arcade game before expanding into console titles, radio programmes, TV anime, mobile content, and live stage events. The series has earned a devoted following thanks to its producer-style gameplay, richly individual characters, and a catalogue of beloved songs.
Design Highlights
The Haruka collaboration model features several character-specific design touches:
- The top surface of the charging case carries a motif design incorporating the series title and idol’s name.
- Both earphone housings display a motif icon inspired by Amahane Haruka.
- The outer packaging uses a newly drawn illustration created exclusively for this product.
64 Newly Recorded Voice Lines Across Two Modes
The standout feature is the audio guidance system, which uses brand-new recorded voice lines by Amahane Haruka — 64 words in total — split across two modes that can be toggled with a tap:
- Daily Mode (日常モード) — 32 words
- Idol Mode (アイドルモード) — 32 words
Sample lines include: “Producer-san, good morning!” on power-on; “Turning off now — good work today!” on power-off; “Pairing complete!” on Bluetooth pairing; a short “Pip!” tap sound; “Let’s keep the excitement going~!” in Noise Cancelling mode; and “Did you enjoy the game~?” in Game mode.
In-Store Exhibition and Pre-Orders in Akihabara
The ONKYO DIRECT ANIME STORE (音アニ1号店) in Akihabara will begin displaying the actual unit from 17 July 2026 at 11:00 a.m., giving fans the chance to inspect the hardware, sound quality, and voice lines in person. Pre-orders via a dedicated in-store QR code open at 3:00 p.m. the same day.
