To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the TV anime 「かげきしょうじょ!!」 (Kageki Shoujo!!), based on the original manga by Kumiko Saiki, a special reading stage titled 「TVアニメ『かげきしょうじょ!!』5周年記念朗読劇-星の旅人-」 will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at IMA Hall in Tokyo, with both afternoon and evening performances.
Full Voice Cast Appearing Together
This reading stage marks the first time all of the voice cast members will perform together in person. During the anime’s 2021 production period, the COVID-19 crisis prevented the full cast from gathering at the same time. The participating cast members are:

- Sumire Uesaka – Sawa Sugimoto
- Yo Daichi – Kaoru Hoshino
- Rico Sasaki – Ayako Yamada

The reading stage will portray the one-year coming-of-age journey of the Koka girls, led by Sarasa, through a stage reading format. Tickets cost 9,900 yen for reserved seating, with advance lottery sales through Ticket Pia having begun on June 11.

Free Streaming of the Anime and Stage Plays
A limited-time free streaming campaign has also been announced for all 13 anime episodes and three stage play installments through the YouTube channel 「KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE official channel」. The schedule is as follows:

Comments From the Creator and Cast
Original manga creator Kumiko Saiki said that because the anime was produced during COVID, the full voice cast was never able to record together, and even a post-recording celebration could not be held. Even so, the team remained strongly connected, which led to this reading stage. She also said she was deeply moved that all the voice actors would finally perform together for the first time.
Ayaka Senbongi (Sarasa) expressed her congratulations and said the work has always remained in her heart, while hoping that more new fans will continue to discover Kageki Shoujo!!. Yumiri Hanamori (Ai) said that every cherry blossom season reminds her of the characters’ first meeting and fills her with warmth.
Sumire Uesaka (Sawa) said she feels especially connected to Sugimoto and still loves the song “シナヤカナミライ,” which she sang with Ayako, so much that it sometimes plays in her head. Yo Daichi (Kaoru) shared that a friend in the industry recently sent her a screenshot of “薔薇と私” playing, along with praise, which made her happy that people are still discovering the work even five years later.
Rikako Aida (Momo) said that although her character did not have many scenes in the anime, taking part in the stage play and singing “ごめんね LOVE” became a treasured memory. Hiroki Nanami (Hoshi) said the fact that the work is still loved by fans today shows the power of its sincere portrayal of the characters’ dreams and struggles.
