โปสเตอร์ภาพยนตร์คนแสดงจริง Look Back กำกับโดย ฮิโรคาซุ โคเรเอดะ

The official website for the live-action adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto‘s one-shot manga Look Back announced on Thursday that three notable figures will serve as special guest staff: musician Kenshi Yonezu, actress and singer Tōko Miura, and animator-director Yōko Kuno.

Roles of the Special Guest Staff

Yonezu will perform guitar for the film, credited under the moniker “Shark Kick Guitar” — a nod to an in-story manga within the film called “Shark Kick,” which itself appears to reference Fujimoto’s Fire Punch. Yonezu previously contributed theme songs to the Chainsaw Man anime and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, both adaptations of Fujimoto’s work.

Miura will perform vocals for an insert song in the film. She previously collaborated with the band RADWIMPS on the soundtrack to Makoto Shinkai’s Weathering With You.

Kuno will direct a rotoscoped animation sequence based on Miura’s performance, with Shinei Animation producing the animation. Kuno served as animation director on Shunji Iwai’s The Case of Hana & Alice and directed Ghost Cat Anzu, both of which make extensive use of rotoscoping.

Story and Core Staff

The film is directed, edited, and written by Hirokazu Kore-eda (Shoplifters, Our Little Sister, Air Doll). Music is composed by Yūta Bandō, also known as Taku Matsushiba (BELLE, Kaiju No. 8).

Spanning more than a decade, the story follows two girls united by their dream of becoming manga artists. Fujino, a gifted aspiring artist, meets Kymoto, a shy admirer of her work. Though seemingly opposites, they form a perfect creative partnership — until the attention their work attracts forces them to confront decisions that threaten their collaboration.
