The fifth entry in the live-action Kingdom film series, Kingdom: Tamashii no Kessen (キングダム 魂の決戦), based on the manga by Yasuhisa Hara, has been confirmed for multiple premium formats: MX4D, 4DX, Dolby Cinema, SCREENX, and ULTRA 4DX.
Screening Dates by Format
The MX4D and 4DX versions will launch on the film’s general opening day, July 17. The Dolby Cinema, SCREENX, and ULTRA 4DX versions will follow on July 24.
“Decisive Battle” Visual Released
To mark the premium-format announcements, the production has unveiled a new key visual titled the “Decisive Battle Visual” (決戦ビジュアル). The image captures a head-on confrontation between Xin (信) — who carries the hopes entrusted to him by General Ouki as he fights to forge his own future — and Mangoku (万極), a man driven by deep-seated hatred toward the state of Qin for the devastation it brought upon his homeland. The two clash face-to-face, neither willing to yield.
Story Overview
In Kingdom: Tamashii no Kessen, the state of Qin faces an existential threat as the Coalition Army (合従軍) launches a massive invasion, setting the stage for a battle that will determine the kingdom’s very survival.
