An opening preview of approximately five minutes from Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten will be shown exclusively as part of the revival screening of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: [New Edit] The Rebellion Story, which returns to Japanese cinemas from August 14.
The preview footage will play immediately after the main feature of The Rebellion Story concludes. The revival run is limited to two weeks only. It was also announced that the revival will use the Video Master version of the film, with select theatres additionally offering screenings in Dolby Cinema format.
Ahead of that, a revival of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: [Part 2] Eternal began on July 17, giving fans the chance to revisit the earlier chapters of the saga on the big screen.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten itself is scheduled to open in Japanese theatres on August 28.
