The theatrical film Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising has revealed the details of its visitor gift campaigns ahead of its Japanese release on 28 August 2026.
Early-Bird Gift — Magica Quartet Shikishi
Attendees who arrive while supplies last will receive a special Magica Quartet shikishi (commemorative illustrated board) bearing handwritten messages from three key creators: general director Akiyuki Shinbo, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), and original character designer Ume Aoki. Distribution begins on opening day, 28 August, and continues until stock runs out.
Week-1 Rotating Gift — Mini Shikishi-Style Cards by Ume Aoki
During the first week of release, 28 August – 4 September 2026, visitors will receive a mini shikishi-style card featuring newly drawn artwork by Ume Aoki (Set 1). The three designs available are:
- Madoka Kaname & Kyubey
- Sayaka Miki
- Mami Tomoe & Nagisa Momoe
One card is distributed at random per visitor, and distribution ends as soon as each design sells out.
Opening-Day Live Viewing Event
A live viewing of the theatrical release commemorative stage greeting has also been announced. The event will take place at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on Saturday, 29 August 2026, following the 11:30 a.m. screening. The following cast members are scheduled to appear:

Live viewing tickets are priced at ¥2,700. A midnight premiere screening will also be held at select theatres from 0:00 on 28 August, with programme pamphlets and merchandise going on sale from 22:00 on 27 August.
