Fans of Magic Knight Rayearth (魔法騎士レイアース) have a new collectible to look forward to. Kotobukiya has announced a figure of Shidou Hikaru — one of the three girls summoned to the mystical world of Cephiro — set for release in May 2027 at a price of ¥24,860 (tax included).
About the Series
Magic Knight Rayearth is based on the manga by creative collective CLAMP, serialized in Nakayoshi magazine (Kodansha). The series won a devoted following thanks to its grand fantasy world and memorable characters. Thirty years after its original 1994 TV anime broadcast, a new anime project was announced in 2024. The new series currently airs every Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. on TV Asahi’s nationwide “IMAnimation W” block, running for two consecutive cours.
Figure Details
The Shidou Hikaru figure is rendered in 1/7 scale, standing approximately 290 mm tall including its base. The pose captures Hikaru mid-stride, sword in hand, as though she’s about to charge into battle — perfectly conveying her bright, energetic personality.
Particular attention has been paid to her flowing hair, decorative accessories, and the flame effects swirling around her feet, all of which contribute to the figure’s striking sense of dynamism. A bonus Mokona figure on a separate base is also included, allowing fans to display the pair together and recreate the world of Rayearth on their shelves.
