ภาพวาดรวมตัวละครพิเศษจากโยโกยาริ เมนโกะ สำหรับนิทรรศการ マンガ【推しの子】展 -星のキセキ-

The first-ever manga exhibition dedicated to Oshi no Ko (【推しの子】), titled 「マンガ【推しの子】展 -星のキセキ-」 (Manga Oshi no Ko Ten: Hoshi no Kiseki), is set to run from July 22 to August 11, 2026 at the Event Square on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo. Organizers have unveiled a brand-new illustration drawn specially for the exhibition by artist Yokoyari Mengo, along with details on the official pamphlet and a new wave of exclusive merchandise.

About Oshi no Ko

Oshi no Ko is a manga by Akasaka Aka (story) and Yokoyari Mengo (art) that portrays the light and shadow of the entertainment industry through meticulous research. Serialized in Weekly Young Jump from April 2020, the series quickly gained a devoted following among both general readers and industry insiders. The complete 16-volume run has surpassed 25 million copies in worldwide circulation.

The anime’s first season, which aired in April 2023, became a global phenomenon. A live-action drama series followed on Amazon Prime Video in 2024, and the manga concluded its run in November of that year. December 2024 saw both a 2.5D stage production and a live-action film theatrical release. Anime Season 3 aired from January to March 2026, and a Season 4 Final Season has since been announced.

A First for the Franchise

Billed as the manga’s first-ever exhibition, the event will immerse visitors in the world of Oshi no Ko through displays of key illustrations and scenes from the story. Comments from both Akasaka and Yokoyari will accompany the exhibits, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the work — including details that could only be shared after the series had concluded.

New Group Illustration by Yokoyari Mengo

Yokoyari has created a special group illustration exclusively for the exhibition, featuring Ai, Hoshino Aqua, Hoshino Ruby, Arima Kana, Kurokawa Akane, MEM-cho, Himekawa Daiki, and Narushima Melto. A large-scale photo spot using this illustration will also be set up at the venue.

Yokoyari shared her thoughts on the piece:

“It’s a group illustration. I’ve spent my entire manga career trying to avoid drawing group illustrations… and yet here we are, for the second time after the Tokyo Dome collaboration. This time I had absolutely no excuse — I was given plenty of time — so I threw everything I had into it. It ended up taking an enormous amount of time, and I’m sorry to everyone involved. That said, being able to focus on a single illustration without worrying about deadlines was a truly luxurious experience. The brief called for something celebratory, but I ended up choosing a slightly dark setting, so I tried to balance it out with the costumes and bouquets. I think the result feels very true to the world of Oshi no Ko.”

Official Exhibition Pamphlet

The official pamphlet is B5 portrait format, 128 pages (including cover), and features the exhibition’s new illustrations alongside comments from Akasaka and Yokoyari. The highlight is an 8-page in-depth conversation between the two creators delving into the behind-the-scenes story of Oshi no Ko — essential reading for any fan. Note that the pamphlet is based on the Tokyo venue’s exhibition content and does not include every displayed item.

Exclusive Exhibition Merchandise

A new batch of venue-exclusive goods has also been announced, including:

  • Acrylic stands for each of the eight featured characters: Ai, Hoshino Aqua, Hoshino Ruby, Arima Kana, Kurokawa Akane, MEM-cho, Himekawa Daiki, and Narushima Melto
  • B5 Desk Pad Collection

Both items use the new group illustration drawn by Yokoyari for the exhibition.
