The summer 2026 anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 3, “Kuse Shiina and Yorumi Towa,” set to air on Saturday, July 18, 2026, on TOKYO MX and BS11.
Episode 3 Synopsis
Now working as a member of EXCEEDS’ extermination unit, Shiina is out on patrol one night when she spots a girl standing on a bridge in a way that makes it clear she is about to jump. Shiina rushes in to help — and that chance encounter becomes the beginning of her relationship with Yorumi Towa.
About the Series
The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise launched with a TV anime in 2004, originally as a spin-off of a romance simulation game. It quickly won fans over as a high-energy magical battle action series centered on a girl who unexpectedly gains magical powers. EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance is a fully original new TV anime entry, written and supervised by series creator Tsuzuki Maki, directed by Hamana Takayuki, and animated by Seven Arcs.
Setting
The story takes place in a world that nearly collapsed 30 years ago when mysterious invasive creatures known as “Invasion Species” appeared. Humanity and these creatures continue to fight over living space; while human safety is barely maintained for now, the world could fall apart at any moment. People go about their daily lives trying to look away from the death and destruction surrounding them.
The UN’s hazardous-creature investigation agency EXCEEDS was established to push back against the threat. The protagonist is Kuse Shiina, a young Invasion Species hunter living on a remote island in the far-eastern island nation of “Mizuho.” She wants nothing more than a quiet life with her younger sister Setsuna — until a certain incident upends everything.
