REMOW has unveiled a new key visual and announced that Necromancer Isekai: How I Went from Abandoned Villager to the Emperor’s Favorite will make its streaming debut in 2027. The anime’s official Japanese website simultaneously confirmed a 2027 television broadcast as well. The series is based on Nazuna Miki‘s novel Mukuwarenakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiai Sareru Ue ni: Jitsu wa Motteita Densetsu-kyū no Kami Skill mo Kakusei Shita.
Alongside the visual, REMOW confirmed that Yoshihiro Akase has joined the production as sound director.

Story
The series centers on Matteo, who is reincarnated as the grandson of an aristocrat. He masters ancient magic and learns to hatch dragon eggs, and word of his extraordinary abilities eventually reaches the emperor — who comes to see the power for himself. However, Matteo harbors a secret identity that complicates matters further.

Source Material
The anime was first announced in 2023. The original web novel began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) in May 2020, with Shueisha launching a print edition in 2021. The seventh volume was published in May 2024.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Suzume Kumo launched in Dash x Comic in December 2022, with the third compiled volume released by Shueisha in May 2025.
