Core Creative Team

Haruki Kasugamori, known for directing Dragon Goes House-Hunting and Tono to Inu, helms the series at studios Durandal and Tengu Kobou. Hiroshi Hosokawa (Otherworldly Munchkin) is overseeing the series scripts.

Story

Henri is a young man who desperately needs money to care for his ailing sister, but he has just been kicked out of his adventuring party for possessing nothing but the seemingly useless “Evade” skill. His fortunes change when he discovers he can use “Evade” to phase straight through the walls of monster-filled labyrinths — letting this level-1 underdog collect unlimited first-clear rewards without ever having to face a single boss.

Publication History

Kitagawa’s web novel launched in February 2021, with the print light novel series following in June 2022 featuring illustrations by Meto Sasame; the second volume shipped in May 2024. Hata’s manga adaptation ran in Kodansha’s Shōnen Magazine R from July 2022 before moving to the Magazine Pocket app in January 2023 after the magazine ceased publication. The manga’s 12th compiled volume was released on July 9.
