Fans of One-Punch Man (ワンパンマン) have reason to celebrate: the anime’s Season 3 Part 2 has officially been confirmed to air in January 2027. The announcement came alongside the release of a new key visual, the first promotional video, and confirmation that JAM Project will return to perform the opening theme.
About One-Punch Man
One-Punch Man is a hero-action manga co-created by ONE (Mob Psycho 100) and Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21), serialized in Shueisha’s “Tonari no Young Jump.” The series follows Saitama, the self-proclaimed “normal-temperature strongest hero” who defeats any enemy with a single punch. As of July 2026, the manga’s cumulative print and digital circulation has surpassed 38 million copies.
The anime’s first season aired from October to December 2015, followed by Season 2 from April to June 2019. After a gap of roughly six and a half years, Season 3 Part 1 aired from October to December 2025, and now Part 2 is set to continue approximately one year later.
Key Visual and First PV
The newly revealed key visual features Psykos, a new character making her debut in Part 2, alongside a menacing depiction of Tatsumaki and Genos that hints at fierce battles ahead. At the center stands Garou, rendered with raw intensity. In contrast to the serious tone, the visual also shows Saitama and Flashy Flash dashing through the Monster Association’s underground lair, adding a touch of levity.
The first PV showcases S-Class heroes being overwhelmed by Monster Association executives, as well as scenes of Tatsumaki, Psykos, and an awakening Garou pushing their limits. A comedic exchange between Flashy Flash and Saitama also makes an appearance.
JAM Project Returns with New Opening Theme
Continuing from Part 1, JAM Project will perform the opening theme for Part 2. The track is titled “Never Done～最強VS最恐～” (Never Done: The Strongest vs. The Most Fearsome). The group shared the following comment about the song:
“There are two images we put into the title ‘Never Done.’ One is an unprecedented, extraordinary showdown. The other is the anticipation of what lies beyond this battle — an uncharted territory of strength. We wanted to convey Saitama’s cool composure as the strongest, and the madness-fueled intensity of Garou as the most fearsome!”
