The upcoming live-action film Onee-chan no Midori-kun (お姉ちゃんの翠くん), based on the manga by Amu Meguro, has released its official full-length trailer alongside character posters for all four main characters — Midori, Sui, Momo, and Ayome. The production has also confirmed that the theme song will be “Hontou no Koto wo Iu to”, a brand-new track from the group timelesz.
Story
Onee-chan no Midori-kun follows Sui, a high school girl who falls for Midori — her older sister’s boyfriend. Though Sui has always been put off by Midori’s habit of treating her like a child, studying together for university entrance exams reveals an unexpected gentleness in him, and she finds herself unable to suppress her growing feelings.
Trailer and Characters
The 60-second trailer opens with Sui’s line, “From the very beginning, this was nothing but a wrong kind of love,” and goes on to depict her inner turmoil as she tries to cut off her feelings for Midori, confessing, “If I say what I really feel… I’ll end up hurting everyone.” The trailer also showcases the tangled romantic dynamics among all four central characters.

Theme Song: “Hontou no Koto wo Iu to” by timelesz
Lead actor and timelesz member Masao Hashimoto commented on the theme song announcement, saying that having a timelesz song serve as the theme for his first lead film role had been a personal dream, and that he felt truly fortunate. He described the track as having a fresh quality not found in the group’s previous releases — sparkling yet tinged with melancholy, and carrying the mature sensibility that defines timelesz.
Hashimoto also encouraged listeners to pay attention to the song’s structure, noting that it gradually reveals the characters’ “true feelings” as it builds toward the final chorus, mirroring the emotional arc of the film itself.
“Whether you’re a middle schooler, a high schooler, or an adult — if you’re in love right now, I want you to come see this film. I hope both the movie and the theme song give you the courage to take that one step forward.” — Masao Hashimoto
