DMM Pictures released a teaser promotional video on Friday and confirmed that Ore to Yu Nii! (Me and Older Brother Yu), the television anime adaptation of Miyuki Nakayama‘s boys-love manga Shota x Oni (also known as Shota Oni), will premiere in January 2027. The announcement also revealed additional members of the production team.

Story
The series centers on Tsubaki, an elementary school boy who is deeply in love with his childhood friend Yū, a high school student. Despite Tsubaki’s feelings, Yū always treats him like a little kid. Determined to change that, Tsubaki vows to himself: “I’ll grow up fast so I can make Yū happy!”
About the Manga
Nakayama, known for Blend S and Spirits & Cat Ears, launched the manga on the Comic CMOA website in September 2021 as part of Square Enix’s debut of its boys-love label “Gangan BLiss.” The series is also available on Manga UP!, ebookjapan, LINE Manga, and the Kindle Store. Square Enix released the seventh compiled volume on March 21.
The manga earned the Best Next Generation (Newcomer) award at boys-love site Chil-Chil’s 13th annual BL Awards in 2022.
