Aniplex of America is now streaming all four Persona 3 the Movie anime films for free on its official YouTube channel, marking the 30th anniversary of the Persona series. All films are presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
Atlus West confirmed the films are available for a limited time, though no specific end date has been announced. The stream is accessible in North America, Central America, South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Japanese Premiere and Western Release Dates
The four films originally premiered in Japanese theaters on the following dates:
- Film 1 — November 2013
- Film 2 — June 2014
- Film 3 — April 2015
- Film 4 — January 2016
Aniplex of America subsequently released the films in Western markets: Film 1 in May 2014, Film 2 in March 2015, Film 3 in January 2016, and Film 4 in August 2016.
Staff Highlights for Film 4
The fourth film was produced at A-1 Pictures with Tomohisa Taguchi — known for directing Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight’s Dream and Persona 4 the Golden Animation — at the helm. Jun Kumagai wrote the screenplay, with Seiji Kishi serving as supervisor.
Zenou Tanioka of Bihou, Inc. returned as art director, a role he previously held on the second film before Toshihiro Kohama took over for the third. Junpei Takatsu served as composite and visual director, Keisuke Watabe handled character design, and the soundtrack was composed by Shoji Meguro and Tetsuya Kobayashi.
