The production team behind Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Kesshō Member Ketteisen (The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Finals Members Decisive Match) has released a new promotional video, a new key visual, four newly announced cast members for Spain’s national team, and confirmed a premiere date of September 30. The trailer offers a preview of the opening theme song “Walls And Bridges”, performed by the four-member unit Aozu.

Theme Songs
The opening theme “Walls And Bridges” is performed by Aozu, a unit made up of the voice actors behind the series’ core cast: Ryōma Echizen (Junko Minagawa), Kunimitsu Tezuka (Ryōtarō Okiayu), Syusuke Fuji (Yuki Kaida), and Shuichiro Ōishi (Takayuki Kondō).
The ending theme “Kinkanshoku phenomenal” (Annular Eclipse phenomenal) is performed by Keigo Atobe (Junichi Suwabe) and Yūshi Oshitari (Hidenobu Kiuchi).
About the Series
This new anime will depict the battle to determine Japan’s representatives for the finals match against Spain. It is a direct sequel to Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Semifinal, which debuted in October 2024 and covered the Japan vs. Germany semifinal.
The broader The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup series premiered on TV Tokyo in July 2022 — the franchise’s first new television anime in roughly a decade — and was streamed by Crunchyroll with an English dub.
Manga Background
Takeshi Konomi serialized the original Tennis no Ōji-sama manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008. The franchise has since expanded into a 2001–2005 TV anime, two theatrical anime films, OVA projects, a live-action film, a Chinese live-action TV series, and a long-running stage musical.
Konomi launched the sequel manga The New Prince of Tennis in Shueisha’s Jump Square in 2009; its 47th compiled volume shipped on June 4. In July 2025, Konomi announced plans to bring the serialization to a close within the year.
