The Psyren TV anime is set to hold a world premiere screening of its second episode at Global Stage Hollywood on October 3, with original manga creator Toshiaki Iwashiro attending the event.
The series will then make its Japanese broadcast debut on October 4 at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by an airing on Sun TV later that same evening. Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide, excluding Japan and China.

The anime is produced at Satelight under the direction of Katsumi Ono, whose previous credits include Symphogear AXZ, Symphogear G, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. Shin Yoshida (Naruto Shippūden, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX) is overseeing the series scripts, and Akira Ōkuma (Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus; Demon Lord, Retry! R) is handling character design.
The anime’s score is composed by a trio of musicians: Takashi Ōmama (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury), Tatsuhiko Saiki (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!), and Shū Kanematsu (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses). CLAN QUEEN performs the opening theme song “Warning!!”
Story
One day, high schooler Ageha Yoshina picks up a mysterious red phone card left behind in a public telephone booth. A few days later, his childhood friend and classmate Sakurako Amamiya — who possessed the same card — suddenly vanishes without a trace. Searching for her, Ageha becomes entangled in rumors surrounding a nationwide string of mysterious disappearances, said to be the work of a secret organization known only as “Psyren.” When he accesses the group, a deadly game begins — one that will change his fate forever.
Producer REMOW has confirmed that the anime will fully adapt the manga through its conclusion.
About the Manga
Toshiaki Iwashiro serialized Psyren in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 2007 to 2010, spanning 16 volumes. Viz Media published the complete English-language edition between 2011 and 2014.
