The third season of the Ranma 1/2 TV anime, based on Takahashi Rumiko‘s classic manga, is set to premiere on Nippon TV every Saturday at 24:55 starting October 3, 2026. Five new cast members have been announced alongside the season’s key visual.
New Cast Members
- Nozawa Masako — voices the Iemoto, the grand master of the Daimonji-ryū Martial Arts Tea Ceremony school and grandmother of Daimonji Sentarō.
- Fukuyama Jun — voices Daimonji Sentarō, heir to the Daimonji-ryū school. Fukuyama previously appeared in Season 2 as the drama club president.
- Tanaka Mayumi — role name undisclosed (listed as ???).
- Hayami Saori — role name undisclosed (listed as ???).
- Tanaka Minami — voices Kurenai Tsubasa, a disguise-loving former classmate of Ukyō who harbors feelings for her.
The characters voiced by Tanaka Mayumi and Hayami Saori have been kept secret; only character visuals were released. The new key visual, illustrated by character designer Taniguchi Hiromi, places Ranma, Akane, and Ryōga at the center, surrounded by the new Season 3 characters. Cover art for the Season 2 Blu-ray and DVD — on sale October 7 — was also revealed, also using Taniguchi’s newly drawn illustration.

Nozawa Masako (Iemoto): “I’m so happy to be playing the Iemoto. As the head of the school, she should be refined, quiet, and graceful… or should she? Season 3 is shaping up to be a thrilling ride, so please tune in — your support means everything to us!”
Fukuyama Jun (Daimonji Sentarō): “When I got the call for Season 3, I assumed the drama club president was coming back — then I opened the script and found out I was playing Sentarō! I was genuinely surprised. The episode is intense and wild, and I threw myself into it so hard my throat was burning. I hope everyone enjoys it!”
Tanaka Mayumi (undisclosed role): “I got to play a very important role in the story — but I’m not allowed to say anything more just yet! Please watch the show and find out for yourself!”
Hayami Saori (undisclosed role): “It’s a great honor to be part of Ranma 1/2 in the Reiwa era. I was incredibly nervous at first during recording, but the fun of the story and the warmth of the cast helped me relax. As for my character… I really can’t say anything yet. Please look forward to the broadcast!”
Tanaka Minami (Kurenai Tsubasa): “I read the original manga as a kid and never imagined I’d one day voice Tsubasa! I love the relationship between Ranma and Akane, and I’m personally a huge Ryōga fan too. Tsubasa is such a unique character — I can’t wait to see what kind of whirlwind she stirs up in the Reiwa era. Charge!!!!”
