The Sword Art Online POP UP SHOP at Diversity Tokyo Plaza, held at THE キャラ SHOP on the fifth floor of Diversity Tokyo Plaza, has launched an online after-sales campaign through the THEキャラ web store, starting July 30, 2026.
About Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is a novel series by Reki Kawahara that won the Grand Prize at the 15th Dengeki Novel Prize, published under the Dengeki Bunko imprint. The story follows protagonist Kirito as he battles through a next-generation VRMMORPG world. Since the first volume’s release in April 2009, the series has accumulated over 30 million copies sold worldwide.
The TV anime adaptation began in 2012 and has since produced four seasons totalling 97 episodes, with the Alicization arc serving as the series’ grand climax. On the theatrical side, the original film Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale- (2017) was followed by the back-to-back hits of the Sword Art Online Progressive series — “Aria of a Starless Night” and “Scherzo of Deep Night” — with the three films combined grossing over 5 billion yen domestically, each topping the box office in their opening week.
Most recently, on July 6, 2026, the new original theatrical film Sword Art Online – Integral Domain – was officially unveiled, with a teaser visual, special trailer, release window, and key staff and cast information revealed.
