Story and Highlights

The series is adapted from the light novel by Buncororori (published by KADOKAWA, character designs by Kantoku), directed by Ibe Yuji with animation by SILVER LINK.

Overworked salaryman Sasaki buys a Java sparrow from a pet shop, only to discover it is Peeps — a Star Sage from another world reincarnated in bird form. Peeps grants Sasaki magical powers and a gateway to the other world, where Sasaki lives as a merchant. Back in modern Japan, he is recruited by the Cabinet Office’s Paranormal Countermeasures Bureau as an esper operative.

Season 2 opens with a one-hour special in which Sasaki’s next-door neighbor is saved from danger by the demon Abaddon and becomes his apostle, forcing her into a death game against the apostles of angels. Meanwhile, Sasaki learns that Count Müller intends to grant him a baron’s title and territory in the other world.

Key Highlights

• Double life across two worlds: Sasaki juggles noble politics in the other world and covert missions in modern Japan, making his schedule busier than ever.
• Demon vs. Angel death game: A brand-new storyline exclusive to Season 2 that raises the stakes considerably.
• Sasaki and Peeps’ easygoing banter: Amid the tension, lighter moments persist — including the pair hosting the other-world noblewoman Elza, who is stressed about an arranged marriage.
