The television anime adaptation of Muchimaro‘s four-panel manga Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! (Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!) has unveiled a character promotional video, character visual, and cast reveal for the character Tan Otori. Hiyori Kōno will voice the role. The announcement was made on Saturday.
The anime is set to premiere in October.

The anime is being produced at Passione under the direction of Naoyuki Tatsuwa, whose previous credits include Ōmuro-ke, Gourmet Girl Graffiti, Nisekoi, and Promise of Wizard. Ryo Imamura, known for character design work on ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!, is handling character designs. Masahiro Yokotani, a veteran series composer with credits including Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Beelzebub, and The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, is overseeing and writing the series scripts.
Story
Mizunoe Ume joined the student council for one simple reason: to avoid repeating a grade. It seemed like an easy solution to his academic troubles — until he actually met his fellow council members. Each one is eccentric in their own way: one’s an airhead, another is intimidating, and one secretly harbors some very questionable interests. Weird as they are, though, they’re also oddly cute and endearing. Now Mizunoe is stuck riding out the chaos they bring, one school day at a time. The series is a slice-of-life manga described as irresistibly charming, quirky, and a little bit naughty.
About the Manga
Muchimaro launched the manga in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022. The 12th compiled volume shipped on March 17. Seven Seas will release the first English-language volume on September 8, and the series is also available digitally in English via K MANGA.
The manga received an animated advertisement in July 2024 and won the print category of the ninth Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2023.
