The TV anime Shin no Seijo de aru Watashi wa Tsuihou Saremashita. Dakara Kono Kuni wa Mou Owari desu (The True Saint Was Exiled. So This Country Is Done For) has officially confirmed a January 2027 broadcast premiere. Alongside the announcement, the production released the series’ first teaser PV.
Story Overview
The series is a restart fantasy following the adventures of Eliane, a saint who is stripped of her engagement and banished from her homeland. Cast out and starting from scratch, she eventually encounters Nigel, a prince from a neighboring kingdom, setting the stage for a new chapter in her life.
Teaser PV
The teaser PV features protagonist Eliane narrating a “story so far” monologue in her own words, giving viewers a glimpse of her fateful first meeting with Nigel.
Music by Hara Kanako
The production also announced that Hara Kanako will serve as the series’ music composer. She shared the following comment about the project:
What I love most about this work is how strong and no-nonsense Eliane is. When I read the original novel and the scripts, I found myself slipping naturally into the world of the story and cheering for both Eliane and Nigel without even realizing it — it’s a truly wonderful tale. For the music, I was careful to honor the grand, majestic beauty that defines this world, while making sure the central melodies leave a lasting impression. I wanted the score to feel uniquely its own, and I had a wonderful time creating it. I hope everyone enjoys the music alongside the story!
